On October 6, 2013 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to Gulf Memorial Drive for a reported disturbance. When officers arrived in the area they observed the suspect in the disturbance standing in the middle of the train tracks on CSX posted property. Officers could hear the subject yelling at several people who were standing near the train station. Before offices could make contact with the suspect, he took off running across the train tracks toward Queen City Drive. Officers gave chase after the suspect who refused to stop. Officers were able to apprehend the suspect in the area of Harrison Street and South George Street. The suspect was placed under arrest and identified as, James Kenneth Flohr Jr. Flohr was transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing. Flohr was issued two criminal citations for trespassing on posted property and disorderly conduct. Flohr was served with both citations and released pending trial at the Allegany District Court.

On October 6, 2013 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to 410 Pulaski Street for a domestic disturbance. When officers arrived at the residence they made contact with Tiffany Dunn and a male subject who also resided at the residence. According to both subjects, they had been at the Rocky Gap Casino earlier in the evening. An argument ensued, and the male subject left the Casino prior to Dunn. When Dunn returned home, they continued to argue, with the male subject preparing to leave. During the time officers were on the scene, Dunn was disruptive, attempting to argue with her daughter and the male subject. As the male subject was placing his belongings in his vehicle, Dunn began to yell and scream continuously. Officers instructed her to lower her voice several times and told her to go inside the house. Dunn refused to obey the officer's orders and told the officers to arrest her. Dunn was placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing. Dunn was issued a criminal citation for failure to obey. Dunn was served with the citation and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

On October 6, 2013 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to 18 South Chase Street for a domestic assault complaint. Upon the officers arrival they were met outside the front of the residence by three children and their mother. All three children advised the officers that their mother's boyfriend, Thomas Evix, had been drinking alcohol all day and was fighting with them. Mr. Evix had first chased one of the siblings into the bathroom and then grabbed him by the arm. The rest of the siblings intervened to stop the assault. During this incident one of the victims was grabbed around the throat and choked by Evix. After choking the victim, Evix threw a container of hot wax at the children. The hot wax was thrown all over the children. Evix then grabbed the adult female victim by the upper chest area and assaulted her. As a result of the assault, the Cumberland City Fire Department responded to the scene to treat the victim who had been choked. She was treated at the scene and not transported to the hospital. As a result of this incident, Thomas Sherwood Evix was placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing. Evix was taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioners Office for his initial appearance. Evix was held in the Allegany County Detention Center on $15,000 bond.
