The 142nd Preakness is today with the future of the race at Pimlico very much in doubt. Baltimore City, and track operators are waiting for the second part of a Maryland Stadium Authority study which offers recommendations on how to pay for approximately $300 million in improvements to Pimlico Race Course. There is considerable speculation the track owner will move the race to Laurel Park. However, those are future worries. Today -Sal Sinatra, who is President of the Maryland Jockey Club which operates the tracks is more focused on the possibility of a triple crown winner this year
