175 expected at Allegany College Fall Commencement

Allegany College of Maryland will hold commencement exercises Friday, Dec. 16, and graduate more than 175 students in a 7 p.m. ceremony that celebrates and honors their achievements.The candidates, who have attended ACM’s Pennsylvania campuses in Bedford and Somerset counties as well as the Cumberland campus, will receive over 200 associate degrees and certificates in career and transfer programs.

 

ACM’s president, Dr. Cynthia S. Bambara, will welcome graduation candidates, their families and guests to commencement, while Kim B. Leonard, chair of the Board of Trustees, will offer greetings.

 

Three distinguished students – Jeff Fairley, 39, of LaVale, Caitlin Flowers, 18, of Cumberland and Michele Morgan Maust, 43, of Rawlings — will deliver the commencement address on behalf of the fall 2016 class.
