April 21st, 2016 by WCBC Radio

As Baltimore marks one year since the Freddie Gray riots began, dozens of residents and first responders are being honored for their efforts during the unrest at BPD headquarters downtown.

Awards will be given to the founder of the 300 Men March, the commander of the Baltimore Guardian Angels and the PR director for the Penn North Community Resource Center, among others.

Two EMTs who courageously assisted city police amid the rioting will also receive awards, as will nearly four dozen cops who displayed exceptional courage during the chaos.
