2 American Flags Overlooking Beltway Defaced

September 11th, 2017 by WCBC Radio

WBAL reports two American flags overlooking the Baltimore Beltway in Towson were defaced over the weekend. The Providence Volunteer Fire Company, which put the flags up with help from donors 16 years ago, said in a Facebook post that sometime overnight Saturday, the American flags–one facing each direction on the Providence Road overpass–were spray-painted. "We are truly disappointed to see such an act of ignorance and disrespect within our community, especially on the eve of September 11th," they wrote.
