Two students in Maryland face criminal charges after authorities say a fraternity hazing incident left a third student hospitalized.

Baltimore County police say 21-year-old Evan Palmer Francis and 21-year-old Alexander James Cantor of Towson University were charged Wednesday with hazing and reckless endangerment.

Police spokeswoman Elise Armacost says a 19-year-old unidentified male student became extremely ill and was hospitalized after attending a Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity initiation event March 31 during which he was made to perform strenuous workouts, recite knowledge of the fraternity and drink unknown substances.
