Barring an extension- the 2012 session of the Maryland General Assembly will gavel to a close at midnight Monday. At the point local governments can begin the process of determining exactly how hard they have been hit by reductions in state aid, tax and fee hikes and any other fiscal surprises that may have gotten passed at the last minute.
