2016 Hooley Plunge Set For March 5th

The 2016 Hooley Plunge is set for Saturday March 5th at Rocky Gap State Park. The annual fundraising campaign benefits the Allegany County Special Olympics and other local programs for the developmentally disabled. Hooley Plunge founder, Dr. Sean McCagh told the Cumberland Rotary Club this week that while it’s a special event each year- the 12th year will be particularly significant as he expects the total dollars raised over the past dozen years to push past the one million dollar mark. And, thanks to a generous donation being made, McCagh’s longtime goal of seeing a permanent community center for the developmentally disabled…





 

Danny Malamis, an Allegany County native who moved from the area and is now part of a highly successful business operation based in Washington D.C., has reached out to help. Danny and his wife Jody have a down’s syndrome son- and his courage inspired the couple to make annual donations to the cause…
