Request To Delegation Could Address Panhandling In Allegany County

There may be a relatively easy solution to addressing part of the growing problem of panhandling in Allegany County- however it will require action by the Maryland General Assembly and wouldn’t go into effect until October of next year. Sheriff Craig Robertson discussed the subject during Tuesday’s work session said there is already a law on the books in Maryland pertaining to such incidents of loitering- but Allegany County is not currently covered. Robertson believes a request to the local delegation may help solve that part of the problem…
