Beginnings Montessori School was the top recycler in the Allegany County 24th annual telephone book recycling campaign. The school’s 57 students collected 273 telephone books, a ratio of 4.79 telephone books recycled per student. Westernport Elementary was second with 282 students collecting 920 books, 3.26 per student. John Humbird Elementary was third; 280 students collected 427 books, 1.53 per student. Parkside Elementary was fourth; 215 students collected 285 books, 1.33 per student. Frost Elementary was fifth; 245 students collected 317 books, 1.29 per student.
