10 Pounds of Suspected Marijuana Causes Arrest

 On 01/17/2012 at approximately 1059 hours, Sr. Tpr. C.W. Miller stopped a maroon Chevrolet Impala on westbound Interstate 68, west of Rocky Gap Road in Cumberland, Allegany County, Maryland, for traffic violations.  During the traffic stop, a K-9 scan by Sr. Tpr. D.W. Yates, and K-9 partner “Crocket” was conducted on the vehicle which resulted in a positive alert.  Upon a probable cause search of the vehicle, approximately 10 pounds of suspected marijuana was located.  The operator and sole occupant, Errol C. McCurrie, 25 years of age of Uniontown, PA., was arrested and charged with possession of CDS, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, and possession of CDS paraphernalia.  At the time of this press release, McCurrie was being held pending a bond hearing before a District Court Commissioner.
