3 vehicle crash leaves Keyser woman in serious condition

On Thursday members of the Allegany County Sheriffs Office responded to Route 135 in the area of Morans trucking for a motor vehicle crash involving 3 vehicles. It was determined by the investigating Deputies that vehicle #1- a 2010 Ford Fusion operated by John Anthony Maybury Age 80 Westernport, Md was traveling east on route 135 and for unknown reasons crossed the center line and struck two vehicles a 2005 Dodge truck operated by Dorothy  Ann Winebrenner Age 59 Barton, Maryland that was traveling west on route 135 causing her vehicle to lose control and crash into the guard rail, and then the second vehicle, a 1998 Subaru operated by Brenda Lee Smith Age 42 Keyser WV was struck head on. All three vehicles were destroyed in the accident. Smith was transported by Trooper 5 to the WMHS with serious injuries. Maybury was transported by Tri-towns ambulance with serious injuries and Winebrenner was transported by Georges Creek Ambulance with non life threatening injuries. Investigation is still on going and charges are pending. The Sheriffs Office was assisted by MSP Trooper 5, Tri Towns ambulance and fire department, Potomac Fire Department and Georges Creek ambulance.
