On Thursday, February 23, 2012 at approximately 2:56 p.m., the Cumberland City Police Department responded to a disturbance in the parking lot of a business on Queen City Drive.  Officers learned that an argument took place between two subjects.  Anthony Lafond Cooper had an active protective order in which he violated due to the argument.  Cooper was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing.  Cooper was then taken to District Court for his initial appearance at which time he was held on $8,500.00 in the Allegany County Detention Center.

Arrested:

Anthony Lafond Cooper          Age: 33          Cumberland, MD

Charges:

Violation of a protective order.

Breaking and Entering / Domestic Assault

On Thursday, February 23, 2012 at approximately 11:36 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in reference to a domestic assault and a breaking and entering.  Upon the officers arrival contact was made with the female victim who advised that her ex-boyfriend, Dominique Danaro Wilson broke into her residence by kicking in her door.  The victim stated that Wilson threw her down on the bed and struck her in her head several times with a closed fist.  Wilson then threw a full sports drink bottle at the victim, striking her in the abdomen.  Wilson fled the scene prior to the arrival of the police.  The victim stated that Wilson stole her cell phone.  The victim did not require medical treatment.

An officer patrolling the immediate area looking for Wilson located him on E. Second Street.  Wilson was argumentative and uncooperative and assaulted the officer during the arrest.  Wilson was then taken to police headquarters for processing.  Wilson was later taken to District Court and held on $15,000.00 at the Allegany County Detention Center.

Charges:

Burglary first, third and fourth degree, burglary fourth degree theft, theft under $1,000.00, three counts of second degree assault, resisting arrest, obstructing and hindering, disorderly conduct.
