Thirty-four fugitives were taken off the streets in last month’s arrest warrant initiative conducted by the Cumberland Police Department’s Safe Streets Program. Safe Streets Director David Goad said the goal continues to be making the streets safer through the reduction of backlogged arrest warrants. The Safe Streets Operation sought citizen help in locating and apprehending individuals on open arrest warrants.
