On Thursday, March 22, 2012 at approximately 8:20 p.m., a Cumberland City Police Officer stopped a vehicle on Putman Street after observing a traffic violation.  The officer made contact with the operator and while speaking with the operator about the traffic violation the officer was able to smell the odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle.  The vehicle was then searched which resulted in two marijuana smoking devices being found inside the vehicle.  As a result the operator, Jeremy Robert Datri was issued a criminal citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Arrested:

Jeremy Robert Datri        Age: 20          Cumberland, MD

Charges:

CDS possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

On Thursday, March 22, 2012 at approximately 10:00 p.m., the Cumberland City Police Department responded to a business on South George Street in reference to a subject entering the business and creating a disturbance.  Upon the officers arrival an employee stated that a male subject came into the business and began to yell and scream and knock things over.  The subject was located in the business and placed under arrest for his actions.  The subject was identified as, William James Izzett.  Izzett was just contacted by the police department for creating another disturbance at a separate business just a short distance away.  Izzett was transported to police headquarters for processing.  Izzett was then taken to District Court for his initial appearance at which time he was held on $3,000.00 at the Allegany County Detention Center.

Charges:

Disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and trespassing.
