5 car collission

On  Friday at  approximately 5:30 pm troopers from the Hagerstown Barrack responded to a five (5) vehicle collision on I-70 west in the area of MD 65 (Sharpsburg Pike).

 

The investigation into the collision revealed that a 2011 Ford F-250 operated by Kenneth Wolfe (age 36) of Big Poole, struck the rear end of a 2012 Nissan operated by Shelon Grove (age 43) of Williamsport MD. The Ford F-250 became embedded in the rear end of the Nissan. The Nissan was subsequently pushed forward striking a 2008 Chevy Impala which then was pushed into the rear of a 2013 Subaru. The Subaru then veered into the slow lane and was struck by a 2008 Honda.

 

The driver of the Nissan, Shelon Grove was transported to Meritus Medical center by ambulance for medical treatment.

 

All vehicles were towed from the scene of the collision. Both lanes of West bound I-70 were closed for approximately one hour as a result of the collision.

 

The driver of the Ford F-150, Kenneth Wolfe, was charged for negligent driving.
