On August 11, 2012 at approximately 3:00 AM the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 200 block of Williams Street for the report of a domestic assault. Officers arrived and investigated the complaint and they observed injuries to a female victim. Jordan Lee Hamilton, age 31 of Cumberland, was arrested at the scene and charged with Assault 2nd Degree. Hamilton was taken to Allegany County District Court for an initial appearance and was released on personal recognizance.
On August 11, 2012 the Cumberland Police Department served an Allegany County District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on Harley Michael Higson, age 21 of Cumberland. Higson’s original charge was Burglary 4th Degree and Destruction of Property. He was taken to Allegany County District Court for an initial appearance and held on $5,000 bond in the Allegany County Detention Center.
