Woman Arrested For Disorderly Conduct At Riverside Park

Early Sunday, at approximately 12:42 AM, a Cumberland Police Officer was patrolling Greene Street when he heard a disturbance in the area of George Washington Headquarters.

Additional officers arrived in the area and attempted to get the crowd to disperse. One officer ordered Miranda Fitzwater to leave the area but she continued to yell and refused to leave. Fitzwater then pushed one of the officers at which time she was placed under arrest for assault along with other charges as a result of her actions.

Fitzwater was transported to Police Headquarters for processing. She was later taken before the District Court Commissioner where she was released pending trial in District Court.

Charges: 2nd Degree Assault and Disorderly Conduct
