Still Only Three COVID Cases at Local State Prisons

The Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services provided an update on COVID-19 cases within the state prison system Monday afternoon.

Locally, Western Correctional Institution has had two contractual employees test positive, while North Branch Correctional Institution has one correctional officer with the virus.  No inmates have tested positive.

Also in Allegany County, at the federal prison at Mexico Farms, FCI Cumberland is reporting two employees and zero inmates with Coronavirus.
