9 file for school board seat

The deadline to file to run for office in Maryland has passed and with nine candidates on file for three seats on the Allegany County Board of Education, there willl be a need for a primary. Just four filed for two Cumberland City Council seats. Those on file for school board: Crystal Bender; David Bohn; Tammy Fraley;Michael Leptic; Steve Lewis; Deb Litman; Tony Ottavainia; Ed Root and Linda Widmyer. For city council: Robin Hood Constitution; Eugene Frazier; Laurie Marchini and Sylvestor Young iii. Seven candidates were needed for each race to require a primary. Maryland's primary is set for April 28th

    Can’t wait to see who the new ‘amigo’ will be – I’m betting on Lewis – another guy with scores to settle.

    The real story here is sad looking group running for City Council. If for no other reason than to simply stir the pot, Robin Hood will be getting one of my votes.
