ACM Men’s Basketball Team to Forfeit Seven Games

January 11th, 2017 by WCBC Radio

WCBC Sports has learned that due to eligibility issues, the Allegany College of Maryland men's basketball team must vacate seven wins from the current (2016-2017) season. According to ACM Athletic Director Steve Bazarnic (Bih-zar-nik), the team caught the eligibility during the Christmas break and self-reported the issue to the NJCAA. Despite only seeing limited time off the bench, each game that the player recorded a minute must be forfeited. Allegany College now has a record of 3-12. Despite the forfeiture, head coach Tommie Reams remains optimistic looking ahead at the remaining schedule as the Trojans, with the proper league record, can still qualify for the MD JUCO Tournament and the REGION XX Tournament.
