Dental hygiene students at Allegany College of Maryland will offer their services to area elementary school-age children in “Give a Child a Smile Day,” a free clinic scheduled Tuesday, Oct. 3.
Available services include teeth cleaning and fluoride therapy as well as individualized instruction in the care of teeth and gums. Dietary guidance for better dental health and recommendation for future professional care are also offered.
ACM dental hygiene students will provide these services under the direct supervision of the program’s clinical instructors. The dental hygiene clinic is located in the Allied Health Building, Room 151, on the Cumberland campus.
As space is limited, these services are offered on an appointments-only basis. No walk-ins can be accommodated. For more information or to schedule an appointment call 301-784-5540 or -5250.
