In response to a WCBC inquiry, Mia Cross, Public Information Officer for Allegany County Public Schools, confirmed that the system does has a deadline for deciding on an early dismissal.
According to Mrs. Cross, the system must decide by between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM on whether it wants to dismiss students early.
Such a time frame would allow buses to be in position to transpor students.
NOTE: SCHOOLS ARE OPERATING ON A NORMAL SCHEDULE TODAY. THERE IS NO EARLY DISMISSAL ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 7, 2020.
