ACPS Sets Vaccination Clinics

May 2nd, 2017 by WCBC Radio

Any student entering the 7th grade in August 2017 in the Allegany County Public School System is required to have the Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) and MCV (Meningococcal) vaccinations before they will be permitted to start the school year. Proof of these immunizations must be provided to the school nurse or administrator.

The Allegany County Health Department will be offering two free vaccination clinics in an effort to help all incoming seventh graders meet these requirements. Clinics will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Mt. Savage School and on Friday, May 26, 2017, at Washington Middle School from 3-6 p.m. each day. No appointments are necessary, and a parent or guardian must accompany any student receiving a vaccination to sign a consent form.
