Allegany County Public Schools begin the 2015-16 year Monday with a three hour early dismissal. Last week, West Virginia schools in our area began the year. If your school hasn't started yet, expect it to be in session at some point this week. If a proposal to start after Labor Day would have been approved, that would have added another 15 days to summer vacation.
