I guess the parents will show up next time and defend their god (Dr Cox) and blame the elected Board for forcing Cox to find another job somewhere else

The board should move quickly to hire Dr. Larry Smith as its new superintendent. It is past time that the board secure a local person who knows the shortcomings of the Washington Street establishment and will clean up decades of crap. After the Cox regime, the system really needs an overhaul. We need someone who will fight for kids and be transparent. He’s a fighter for kids. Get him now. Bon voyage Dr. Cox.

Cox was treated poorly here from the beginning. It doesn’t hurt to have a doctrate with national ties representing your community in Annapolis and across the country. He’s a good man. It will be all locals now that are popular with the board. Watch and see.

The next superintendent needs to examine if there are schools using federal Title 1 funds to pay teachers for acting like administrators or who don’t do anything at all. These funds are by law, supposed to be used to teach our most impoverished children. They are not to be used for any other purpose. Time for a federal audit to see if T1 teachers, their principals and the BOE are completing accurate time sheets and logs. If not, the next superintendent should get the feds in to conduct a criminal audit to determine if fraudulent use of federal funds has occurred.
