Additional Allegany County COVID-19 Cases Announced

The Allegany County Health Department reports that cases of COVID-19 in Allegany County have climbed to 115. The latest confirmed positives include one employee and also two family members of a second employee at a nursing home with previously identified cases.

Two additional cases include a female in her teens and a female in her 50s. These cases are community acquired and not connected to the nursing home outbreak.

As of today, a total of 867 Allegany County residents have been tested for COVID-19.  Of those, 712 were negative, 115 positive, and 40 are still pending.

    In a little over two weeks, we have jumped from 18 cases to 115. Let’s all work to make sure we slow this and stop this.
