After Arrest Physician Surrenders Medical License

June 3rd, 2013 by WCBC Radio

A day after being arrested on charges of solicitation of prostitution and perverted practice, Cumberland physician Dr Robert Cendo voluntarily permanently surrendered his license to practice medicine. In a 4 page letter available on the Maryland State Board of Physicians website, Cendo says he was prompted to do so by the Board’s investigation into allegations that he violated an earlier Rehabilitation Agreement. The letter indicates that the board charged Cendo with violating the Maryland Practice Act in July of 2010.  Cendo was arrested Wednesday by C3I Narcotics. That investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
