In the midst of another tough fiscal year for Allegany County, the fact that a few of the departments and agencies funded by county government are seeking additional dollars next year is apparently a point of frustration for Commissioners President Mike McKay. During the most recent budget hearings, McKay took a few minutes to emphasize that unlike the federal government, Allegany County cannot print money when there are shortfalls.
