On 12/01/19 at 6:36 pm Officers with the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 300blk of Williams St for a report of a home invasion. Upon arrival Officers contacted several victims to learn that several suspects forced their way into the home. Once inside the suspects began to assault the occupants with one victim being cut with an unknown weapon. The suspects then fled the apartment on foot in an unknown direction. Two victims were transported to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center by Cumberland Fire Department Ambulance where one sustained serious injury. The other victim was being treated for minor injuries. The Cumberland Police Department was assisted by the Combined County Criminal Investigations Unit (C3I) and the Maryland State Police Crime Lab.
