Allegany Co. Sees $20 Million In Economic Development Investments In Past 6 Months

Although the general perception is that Allegany County’s economy is stagnant and no new jobs are being created- that is not the case according to the county’s economic and community development specialist Jeff Barclay. Providing an end of the year report to the county commissioners, Barclay noted that there has been more than $20 million in economic development investments by private firms over the past six months- and a series of new businesses are slated to open next year. He pointed to Winchester Court- the new shopping center located across from the County Club Mall in LaVale as one of the highlights…
