Allegany College schedules annual Fall Tour

Allegany College of Maryland will showcase its wide-ranging opportunities Saturday, Oct. 28, in its annual Fall Tour. The event presents information about academic programs and student support services and offers guided tours for a close-up view of the campus. Fall Tour runs from 9 a.m. to noon with campus tours starting at 9 and 10:30 a.m. from the Physical Education Building.

 

Faculty and staff members will be available to speak with prospective students and answer individual questions.

 

Pre-registration, which assists the college in its planning, can be done conveniently online at www.allegany.edu/falltour. However, prior notice is not required to attend.

 

ACM, known for quality education delivered at reasonable cost at a convenient location, presents many credit programs in career and transfer areas and provides numerous services that help students be successful.

 

The college offers nearly 50 career programs designed for prompt application in the workplace and nearly two dozen transfer programs, which prepare graduates to continue their studies at four-year colleges.

 

Academic areas include health care and human services; computer and other technology-based fields and business and hospitality professions. Transfer programs are primarily in the arts and sciences and include pre-professional.
