Susan Lee with Allegany County Emergency Services reports that the latest information from the National Weather Service indicates that western Maryland could be hit hard with storms early this week as a result of Hurricane Sandy. Providing an update during the business meeting of the County Commissioners, Lee said that heavy rains and even some wet snow can be expected to hit the region starting Sunday and into early next week.
