Allegany County Crime Rate Featured in Sun Article

The Baltimore Sun has published a feature article on the increasing crime rate in Allegany County.  The county's crime rate is its highest since 1975 and is now the 6th highest in Maryland.  The rate has increased 10 per cent since 2009.

    You can thank the Governor(s) who decided to put two prisons in Allegany County …. bring the prisoner – bring the family.

    The fact that we are the poorest county in these hard economic times doesn’t help either. And have you had to call the police lately? You may be waiting a while, no blame to the officers they do a wonderful job, but would be nice if more then two of them would be on the road at the same time.
