Allegany County Deputies Make $30,000 Cocaine Bust

On February 2, 2017 at approximately 10:55 PM, Deputies of the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office were on patrol in the area of Vocke Road in LaVale when they observed a vehicle committing a traffic violation.

A traffic stop was conducted and a Cumberland City Police K-9 was requested to the stop. After a positive alert by the K-9, a search of the vehicle was conducted.

Pursuant to the search, deputies located and seized approximately one half pound of suspected cocaine, approximately 2 ounces of marijuana, US Currency  and evidence indicating distribution.

The operator and occupant of the vehicle, 27 year-old Vincent Neil Palmisano and 30 year-old Jermail Cassandra Young, both of Cumberland, were arrested and charged with the following:

CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute (cocaine)

CDS Possession-not Marijuana

CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute-Conspiracy (cocaine)

CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute (marijuana)

CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute-Conspiracy (marijuana)

Possession Marijuana >10g

CDS Possess Paraphernalia

CDS Possess Packaging Material 

After an initial appearance at the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office, they were ordered held on $85,000 at the Allegany County Detention Center.

Troopers from the Maryland State Police LaVale Barrack also assisted at the stop.
