Allegany County Emergency Services To Make Assessment Of Damage To Little Orleans Area

June 10th, 2014 by WCBC Radio

Allegany County Emergency Services toured the Little Orleans area Monday to make an assessment of damage sustained during Sunday’s severe weather.

Director Dick DeVore says that report will be forwarded to the National Weather Service in Sterling, Virginia, which will determine if the storm was a tornado…

Most of the damage was caused by trees which were blown by high winds.  Several areas of the county sustained flash flooding and wet basements as a result of the storms.
