June 23rd, 2020 by WCBC Radio

As a result of Governor Larry Hogan’s Executive Order of June 10, 2020 allowing for a partial re-opening of the State of Maryland, the Board of County Commissioners of Allegany County will be re-opening the County Office Building at 701 Kelly Road to the public on Monday July 6, 2020. Office Hours will be from 8AM to 4PM.

In order to protect the Allegany County workforce, as well as visitors entering the building, the following guidelines must be followed until further notice:

  • All visitors entering the County building will be required to wear a face mask for the duration of their visit to the building.  Any visitors not wearing a mask will not be permitted to enter the County building.

  • A maximum of four visitors at a time will be permitted at the Tax & Utility office, to allow for social distancing. Other visitors must wait outside of building until they can enter, maintaining visitors to four or less at any given time.

  • County Receptionists will track visitors to other offices, ensuring only one visitor per office is permitted at any given time.  Any additional visitors must wait outside of building until they are granted access for their visit.
