Allegany County Public Schools will dismiss three hours early tomorrow, Wednesday, February 24, 2016, for afternoon parent conferences. Schools will operate on a three-hour delayed opening on Thursday, February 25, 2016, to allow for elementary parent conferences and secondary professional development activities in the morning.
Please note, in the event of inclement weather on Wednesday, an adjusted schedule would be as follows:
- Should the need arise for a TWO-HOUR DELAY on Wednesday, this will become an instructional day (with a two-hour delayed opening) for students.
- Wednesday's originally scheduled 3-hour early dismissal with afternoon parent conferences will move to Friday, February 26, 2016.
- The scheduled 3-hour delayed opening for Thursday, February 25, 2016, will remain unchanged.
THESE ADJUSTMENTS WILL ONLY BE NECESSARY IN THE EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER ON WEDNESDAY.
The National Weather Service has posted a Freezing Rain Advisory for overnight, so tune in to 1270 AM WCBC in the morning, to see if conditions change the ACPS plans as noted above.
