Allegany County Scholarship Beginning to Pay Dividends

It’s been more than a year since the Allegany County Commissioners established the Allegany County Opportunity Scholarship and it is starting to pay dividends. The program, which was developed with a memorandum of understanding between the county, Allegany College of Maryland and Frostburg State University, is funded by revenue generated from the Rocky Gap Casino Resort. It is available to county residents attending FSU or Allegany College who have lived in the county for at least three years.  FSU Interim President Dr. Thomas Bowling thanked the commissioners for initiating a program that has actually exceeded expectations…
