Perhaps nothing symbolizes the Christmas season more than the traditional family Christmas Tree- however unfortunately, if proper precautions aren’t taken, they also represent real danger and the potential for tragedy. Allegany County Emergency Services Director Dick Devore provided some sobering statistics, particularly when it comes to real trees. He says the date shows there will be an average of 220 fires as a result of Christmas Trees, and that 6 people will die; 22 will be injured and more than 18 million dollars in damage will result…
