The 2013 Allegany County Fair & Ag Expo kicks off this Saturday and runs through the following Saturday- at the county fairgrounds off U.S. Route 220. This is the third year that the fair will run from Saturday to Saturday. Rides will operate beginning at 3 p.m. on opening day and a mud bog is scheduled for 7 p.m. Sunday rides will open at 3 p.m. with free admission to the fair that day. At 4 p.m., dirt drag races will begin for trucks, cars, motorcycles and four-wheelers. A vespers service and the Farm Bureau Queen contest are scheduled for 7 p.m. Fireworks will be displayed both Monday and Friday nights. Thursday will feature a truck pull at 7:30 p.m. Four-cylinder cars and full-size pickup trucks will compete in a demolition derby Friday at 7:30 p.m. The eight-cylinder cars and minivans will compete the final day of the fair at 7 p.m. Fair manager Kevin Kamauf tells WCBC News that in addition to all of those activities, once again there is a strong concert series lineup beginning on Monday night…
