Allegany High School Funding Appears To Be On The Fast Track

It appears as though funding for a new Allegany High School is on the fast track- and all indications are that is was both the cooperation between local officials, as well as the unique approach to selecting the former Sacred Heart site as the location that has most impressed state representatives. Having received preliminary approval for construction funding from the IAC, Allegany County Superintendent of Schools Dr David Cox will go before the state board of public works next month as the funding process moves forward. Cox says that the fact that the school board, city of Cumberland and the Western Maryland Health System worked together on the site selection has been enthusiastically received…
