Annapolis forum: Presidential choices offer no winner for the economy

September 24th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

At an economic forum in Annapolis Thursday, a handful of Anne Arundel business leaders and economists had few kind words for this year’s presidential candidates and held out little hope for their impact on the county economy. “It’s embarrassing that these two folks are the best we could produce for presidential candidates,” said Alan Hyatt, president and CEO of Severn Savings Bank. “And the only hope I have is that there is continuing gridlock in Washington.” The Capital Gazzette reports the forum was hosted at the Crowne Plaza Annapolis hotel by the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce, which is changing its name next week to the Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce.
