You don’t have to go to New York City for a festive New Year’s Eve atmosphere. Cumberland will continue the annual tradition of ringing in the New Year with a family-friendly celebration downtown. The mayor and City Council will present the Rockin’ New Year’s Eve Ball Drop & Fireworks at 10:30 p.m. on the downtown mall and once again WCBC 1270 AM will broadcast live as the New Year’s Eve ball makes its way down Cumberland Arms followed by a colorful fireworks display launched from the Baltimore Street bridge over Wills Creek. Adding to the celebration downtown this year will be The Windsor Castle New Year's Eve Gala with the venue becoming a night club of dining, singing and dancing to welcome in 2015.
