Residents can meet some local royalty at the 47th annual Allegany County All Things Home Expo. On Friday the Home Builders Association of Western Maryland opened its annual expo with a board cutting ceremony in the Allegany County Fairgrounds Multi-Purpose Building. Local officials and special guests were on hand to help officially open the weekend event. . Throughout the weekend, vendors from across the tri-state will showcase their products and services, including several practical demonstrations. Today the Cumberland Police Department Mobile Command Unit and the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office will be on hand with a special message for children and throughout the weekend, Victoria Graham, Miss Frostburg 2017, and Chloe Wildman, Miss Frostburg Outstanding Teen 2017, will be at the event offering face painting and Beanie Babies to promote Wildman’s project with the Children’s Miracle Network.
