Another setback for Footer project

June 8th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

The Cumberland Times News reports plans to relocate Patrick's Pub and Eatery to the Footer Dye Works Building are off. That announcement was made by  Mike Joy, developer for the Footer project. It was in early April  that Patrick's Pub, owned by Sean D'Atri, announced plans to move to the Footer Building. However, Joy said the plans fell through.  The historic, four-story Footer building is currently undergoing a $9 million renovation, including a new roof. The upgrades are being done to Maryland Historic Trust specifications. Patrick's, A D'Atri Pub and Eatery was to occupy the first floor with offices on the second floor and loft apartments on the remaining floors. Initially, Gary Brooks, owner of Barley and Hops Grill and Microbrewery in Frederick, was expected to open an operation in the Footer building. Those plans fell through leading to Sean D'Atri's decision to consider moving Patrick's into the first floor of the Footer. With Patrick's not coming to the Footer, that makes the second time plans have fallen through to bring a named restauranteur to the location. Joy said he is still looking for a food and beverage tenant.
