Armed Robbery Leads to Arrest in Frostburg

On Friday at approximately 10:18 P.M., a 19 year old Frostburg resident walked into the Frostburg City Police Department to reports that he was the victim of an armed robbery that had occurred in the area of Taylor Street near Mechanic Street. The victim stated that a male subject, later identified as James Bernard Sanders, 38 years of Frostburg, had presented a knife and demanded money from him. Sanders received approximately $40 in cash and fled the scene. 

A short time later. Frostburg Police located Sanders at an address where he was temporarily staying on Main Street. The victim was able to positively identify Sanders as the person who had robbed him. Sanders was arrested and charged with armed robbery, robbery and first degree and second degree assault. He was held without bond and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center.
