Arrest made in Keyser home invasion incident

The Cumberland Times News reports a  15 year-old juvenile was arrested by the Keyser City Police Department on Thursday in connection with the robbery that occurred on Wednesday in the 200 block of North Water Street. The Keyser Police Department conducted a search of residence on on West Piedmont Street and said it recovered a handgun that was stolen from the residence on North Water Street. A Keyser Police spokesman confirmed that the juvenile was taken into custody without incident.  An emergency hearing was held before a Mineral County Judge and the juvenile was ordered to the Chick Buckbee Juvenile Center in Augusta. During the robbery victim was forced on the floor and the masked gunmen then removed numerous guns and electronic items from the victim's home, police said. The perpetrators were reportedly inside the residence, holding the victim at gunpoint for at least 20 minutes. There was no sign of forced entry. The investigation is ongoing and Keyser Police are being assisted by the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office and Potomac State College Police.
