On 2-18-13 at approximately 2348 hours (11:48 PM) a trooper responded to the 700 block of Bear Creek Road, approximately 1/2 mile east of Friendsville, for a reported attempted burglary of an occupied residence. Investigation revealed that suspect(s) unknown cut two window screens, and pried open one of the windows. When the window opened, it made a loud noise which alerted the homeowner and caused the dogs to bark. The perpetrator(s) apparently left, and the homeowner contacted the police. Anyone with information related to this case, or who observes suspicious activity is asked to contact the barrack.
