HRDC was notified this morning that an unidentified green mini-van attempted to pick up Head Start children at one of HRDC’s bus stops in the Baltimore Street/Goethe Street area in Cumberland. HRDC has reported this matter to the City of Cumberland Police Department.
This posting is to alert you to this incident and make you aware that this van is not an HRDC Head Start vehicle. We are urging all families to take necessary precautions. If you notice any suspicious behavior or vehicles at your child’s bus stop or near the Head Start Center, please contact the police immediately at (301) 777-1600.
Please note that the HRDC Head Start program will only send a yellow HRDC Head Start bus to pick up your children.
